They're similar to the standard Spoon Tips, but with gentle bumps on the back of the spoon.

This texture helps transition children from puréed to textured foods and provides added tongue stability.

The size and shape of the spoon bowl allow for easy feeding and oral stimulation - big enough to hold an appropriate amount of food, but small enough to prevent the spoon from being overloaded with too much food.

When used with the Z-Vibe handle, the Spoon Tips can help "wake up" the mouth, increase awareness, and provide stimulation to the lips, tongue, cheeks, and jaw.

What is the difference between the hard and soft Spoon Tip?

The Hard Spoon Tip is rigid - similar to what we're used to with everyday spoons. The Soft Spoon Tip is made out of a more flexible material that has more "give" to it. For that reason, we recommend the Soft Spoon Tip for individuals who have a bite reflex.

Some individuals with sensory issues also prefer the soft version, as it doesn't provide quite as much resistance (feedback) as the hard version.

What age do you recommend these for?

This can vary depending on the mouth size, but typically we recommend them for children up to the age of 2.5 years. Older children up through adults can still use it, the spoon just won't hold as much food as they're probably used to.
